Nizan Geslevich Packin researches and writes about FinTech, Ethical Implications of Digital Technologies, Business Law, Consumer Protection Law, Privacy and Information Law, including cybersecurity. Before joining Zicklin, she practiced law in the New York office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, in the Banking and Corporate Restructuring groups for six years. At Skadden she represented clients in complex Chapter 11 cases, as well as with international business transactions and credit facilities. Prior to Skadden, Professor Packin served as a law clerk in the Israeli Supreme Court. She also interned at the Federal Trade Commission.

Professor Packin is a Contributor to Forbes, where she regularly writes about FinTech related issues. She has published Op-Eds in outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, American Banker, Newsday,andBottom Line. Her scholarship has appeared in journals such as the Washington University Law Review, Indiana Law Journal, Wisconsin Law Review, Utah Law Review, Houston Law Review, William and Mary Law Review, Chicago Kent Law Review, Berkeley Business Law Journal, Columbia Business Law Review, Harvard Law School Corporate Governance Forum, Oxford Business Law Blog, Columbia Blue Sky Blog, and Duke’s FinReg Blog.

Professor Packin earned her law degrees from Columbia Law School, the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and Haifa University. She has externed for Judge Jack B. Weinstein in the Eastern District Federal Court of New York.
